The ISA & Castleblayney Show presents the following:
Each exhibitor will bake 3 items:
a) Brown Sesame Loaf (2 lb loaf tin), b) Tea Brack (7” Round), c) 4 Plain Scones
RULES & CONDITIONS
1. The items are to be displayed as one exhibit on a base of 2 ft x 2 ft approx.
2. Points will be awarded for texture, taste & presentation.
3. Competition is open to amateurs, with one tray to qualify per exhibitor.
4. All items to be homemade by the exhibitor.
5. In the event of a signed & written objection & following an investigation, & if the exhibitor is deemed to be making their living from their profession, they may be disqualified.
6. A SuperValu Flour wrapper to be displayed with the exhibit.
7. A special qualifying class will be held at selected shows.
8. Two trays may qualify for the final if judges agree that the standard is high enough.
9. The judge's decision will be final at all stages of the competition.
10. Exhibits are displayed at the owner's risk.
11. An exhibitor can only qualify one exhibit for the All-Ireland final
These rulesshould be read in conjunction with the ISA Rules
PRIZES 1st €300 – 2nd €200 – 3rd €100 – 4th €60 – 5th €50 – 6th €40 7th to the end of the line: €25
Each of the successful qualifiers will receive a memento on appearance at the Final Entry Fee: to qualifying show: €3 / To final: €6
QUALIFYING SHOWS Adamstown, Armagh, Arva, Athlone Ballyfoyle, Carbery, Carnew, Castlewellan, Corrandulla, Crossmolina, Enniscrone, Ennistymon, Flavours of Fingal, Gorey, Granard, Loughrea Lurgan, Manorhamilton, Mullingar, Nobber, Omagh, Riverstown, Saintfield
FINAL: CASTLEBLAYNEY SHOW Monday 3rd August 2026
** All Entries to be submitted on www.oldcastleshow.ie **
** Entries will not be taken on the day **
Vouchers may be awarded instead of cash.
Special prizes for Homemade Brown Soda Cake (Class 211) 1st: €20, 2nd: €15, 3rd: €10
1st prize winners from Classes 211 – 239 will compete for the Mary Timmins Memorial Perpetual Trophy, to be awarded by the Judge & presented by the Timmins Family
